An established public sector organisation is upgrading its HR tooling and needs an experienced AFAS HR Consultant to lead configuration, testing and process optimisation. The role focuses on AFAS HR configuration, translating HR requirements into functional specifications and guiding adoption across HR and its stakeholders, with frequent collaboration with an external implementation partner.
The mission
The immediate project is to stabilise and optimise the organisation's AFAS HR setup, ensuring the system supports core HR processes such as recruitment, performance follow up and absence management. You will work on configuration changes, scripted and manual testing, and prepare clear functional designs so the implementation partner can deliver technical changes reliably.
On a day to day basis you will translate HR needs into functional specifications inside AFAS, run and coordinate UAT cycles, and propose process improvements that reduce manual work for HR colleagues. You will produce practical documentation and run sessions to bring HR users along during rollouts, while reporting progress and risks to the HR project manager.
