A major Belgian life insurance organisation is building GenAI capabilities across its Life business line, and this role exists to lead delivery of LLM-powered projects and an enterprise-grade chatbot. The role sits in the Life Digital Solutions team and combines business analysis, prompt engineering, and hands-on solution design with technologies such as LLM/Gen AI, Python and Azure data tools.
The mission
The Life Digital Solutions team defines and delivers digital projects that introduce AI into underwriting, policy administration and internal advisory workflows. You will work with the internal AI Centre of Expertise, IT architects and product owners to translate business priorities into a roadmap for conversational AI and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions, and to ensure deployments meet compliance and operational requirements.
On a day-to-day basis you will run discovery sessions, capture functional requirements, design LLM-based workflows and prompt patterns, and drive end-to-end delivery from build to rollout. Typical deliverables include an enterprise chatbot based on LLM technologies, RAG pipelines that use Azure DataLake and Databricks, test suites for LLM evaluation, and documentation such as playbooks and runbooks. Work follows Agile practices and you will report progress to program management and stakeholders across the Life department.
Your responsibilities
- Lead the definition and delivery of GenAI-powered products, prioritising business value and regulatory constraints.
- Design and validate LLM workflows and prompt engineering approaches, including RAG pipelines and prompt/response tracing.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria that development teams can implement.
- Define and execute LLM test strategies, including golden sets, regression tests and adversarial prompt evaluation.
- Collaborate with data engineers, ML specialists and security architects to integrate solutions with Azure DataLake, Databricks and PowerBI where relevant.
- Produce operational artefacts: playbooks, training materials, runbooks and monitoring dashboards for sustained adoption.
Your profile
Essential skills
- 5 to 8 years of experience in business analysis, digital product delivery or solution engineering, with at least 2 years working on Gen AI / LLM solutions.
- Proven track record delivering conversational AI or chatbot solutions end-to-end in a regulated environment.
- Hands-on experience with Python and SQL for prototyping and data preparation.
- Experience with Azure DataBricks, Azure DataLake and PowerBI for data pipelines and reporting.
- Strong prompt engineering skills and familiarity with RAG architectures and LLM evaluation metrics.
- Clear communicator able to explain model behaviour, limitations and risk controls to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable working in Agile teams and owning backlog items, sprint planning and reporting.
Preferred skills
- Background in data science or experience within insurance or financial services.
Languages
- Dutch C1 or French C1, the other national language at B2 level, English B2.
Education
- Master degree or equivalent professional experience.
