The Invest division of a large retail bank is digitising its invest transactional flows and needs a Senior Business Analyst to translate business needs into deliverable solutions. You will work on customer journey mapping and process design across transaction chains that connect brokers, exchange and settlement platforms, using business analysis techniques and requirements management (MoSCoW) to prioritise work.
The mission
The team maintains end-to-end solutions for the Invest offer, focusing on buying and selling journeys that must become more digital and compliant with regulation. Work spans process design, root cause analysis of operational incidents, and coordination with IT and testing teams to ensure changes are deployable into production. This role sits in the Squad Transactional which handles the flow of customer transactions through brokers to exchange and settlement platforms.
Day to day you will estimate the business value of initiatives, capture and document requirements, and define acceptance criteria for features and user stories. You will participate in Quarterly Agile Planning and regular refinement sessions, collaborate with Product Owners, Process and Operational experts, and support delivery by clarifying scope during development and testing.
Your responsibilities
- Estimate and quantify business value for initiatives, producing clear decision inputs for Product Owners and stakeholders
- Design and document end-to-end process improvements, including customer journey mapping and root cause analysis to reduce operational risk
- Define, prioritise and maintain requirements using requirements management and MoSCoW prioritisation; write acceptance criteria for features and user stories
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and translate operational needs into testable specifications for IT and testing teams
- Support Agile planning activities and backlog refinement, ensuring scope is respected during development and that value is realised after release
- Coordinate with Test and Release teams to validate solutions and drive defect resolution through to closure
Your profile
Essential skills
- 5+ years of business analysis experience, demonstrated at a senior level
- Strong capability in business analysis techniques, including customer journey, process design and root cause analysis
- Practical experience with requirements management and prioritisation using MoSCoW
- Solid understanding of IT and testing lifecycle, able to write testable requirements and acceptance criteria
- Proficient in MS Office for reporting, stakeholder communication and value estimation
- Strong analytical ability, client-focused mindset, and clear verbal and written communication skills

- Experience with workflow processes and mapping
- Knowledge of invest transactional flows, settlement and broker interfaces
