The transversal capabilities tribe inside a major Belgian financial institution combines business and IT profiles to support corporate functions such as HR, sourcing, portals and record keeping. This role exists to strengthen the HR cluster with a senior business analyst who has strong affinity with data analytics and practical business domain experience to maintain and evolve HR tools including SAP-HR, My Time & Absences and HR payroll interfaces.
The mission
The HR cluster supports HR processes used by both end users across the bank and specialist teams in the HR Service Center. The squad is multidisciplinary and includes product ownership, scrum mastery, process engineers, development engineers and other business analysts. Your work will sit at the intersection of process, data and application behaviour, contributing to both small operational changes and larger features that keep HR services compliant and usable.
On a day-to-day basis you will gather and consolidate needs from a diverse set of internal stakeholders, translate those needs into clear feature descriptions and acceptance criteria, and steer User Acceptance Testing. You will work closely with the product owner and development team during refinement sessions, support business testing activities, and use data analysis to validate requirements, design data models and improve reporting.
Your responsibilities
- Gather and consolidate pain points and functional needs from HR stakeholders and translate them into clear, testable acceptance criteria
- Define and document features, opuses and process flows that enable reliable HR operations and compliance with policies
- Collaborate with product owner and development team during refinement to ensure features are ready for development and delivery
- Drive and support User Acceptance Testing and business validation, ensuring issues are described, prioritised and resolved
- Improve reporting and data models using analysis to measure impact on user experience, efficiency and compliance
- Maintain concise operational documentation to enable consistent execution, incident resolution and knowledge transfer
Your profile
Essential skills
- Minimum 6 years of relevant business analysis experience in a corporate environment
- Proven capability with data analytics, using data to validate requirements and design reporting
- Solid business domain experience supporting HR processes and HR applications, ideally including SAP-HR
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills, able to structure complex problems
- Analytical mindset, autonomy and proactivity in driving work to completion
Preferred skills
- Experience in project management and coordinating releases
- Practical experience with Agile delivery ways of working and working in squads
