A major Belgian bank's Invest & Financial Insurance domain develops and maintains end-to-end portfolio management solutions for advisory and discretionary investment services. This Business Analyst role exists to translate stakeholder needs into requirements and solution designs, using requirements management and conceptual modelling techniques to improve digital investment services, and to support testing and delivery in an agile squad based in Brussels.
The mission
The Portfolio Management Systems squad oversees the portfolio management application used by advisers and discretionary managers. The team works across product, UX, process experts and IT architects to digitise investment offers, increase accessibility for advisers and clients, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will contribute to product concepts and business cases that shape the roadmap for the invest offering.
Day to day you will estimate the value of initiatives, collect and validate stakeholder needs, and document requirements and acceptance criteria. You will support backlog clarification and Quarterly Agile Planning, participate in refinement sessions, and work with testers and developers to ensure the delivered features respect the defined scope and meet quality expectations.
Your responsibilities
- Estimate business value and effort for new initiatives to inform prioritisation and product decisions
- Translate complex stakeholder needs into clear, testable requirements and conceptual models
- Define acceptance criteria and support testing activities to verify solution delivery
- Facilitate workshops with product owners, process experts and channel managers to refine features
- Support backlog refinement, prepare feature specifications for developers and ensure scope is respected during development
- Manage stakeholder expectations and report on value realisation after release
Your profile
Essential skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a comparable role, with proven delivery in banking or financial services
- Practical experience with requirements management and writing testable acceptance criteria
- Proficiency in conceptual modelling techniques and methods to represent processes and solutions
- Good understanding of IT concepts and software testing principles
- Solid skills in MS Office for analysis and reporting, including structured documentation and presentations
- Strong analytical thinking, ability to synthesise complex information and communicate it clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

- Experience mapping and optimising work flow processes within banking operations
