The organisation is a major Belgian financial services provider running a multi-vendor cards platform. This role exists to refine cards products and services, translate business requests into IT scope, and steer changes from requirements through Business Acceptance Testing, requiring strong business analysis and knowledge of cards systems architecture.
The mission
You will work inside a cross-functional squad that manages card products, acquiring and issuing flows, and facade integrations with schemes and wallets. The team evaluates change requests and continuous improvements for card processing, tokenisation and wallet routing, and collaborates with product, compliance and IT to keep services aligned with market trends in payments.
On a day-to-day basis you will analyse business needs, define the business scope and target operating model, write detailed requirements and acceptance criteria, and follow implementation through to Business Acceptance Testing. You will act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and delivery teams, prioritise changes with product owners, and ensure proposed solutions are feasible within the existing cards systems architecture.
Your responsibilities
- Analyse business problems and change requests, proposing pragmatic improvements to card products and related services that reduce risk or lower operating costs
- Define clear business scope, user stories and acceptance criteria that enable delivery teams to implement and test changes reliably
- Act as the bridge between stakeholders and IT, validating technical options against business priorities and existing cards systems architecture
- Coordinate Business Acceptance Testing and sign-off activities, ensuring functional coverage and regression controls are in place
- Drive stakeholder alignment by presenting option analyses, impact assessments and recommended roadmaps to product managers and senior business owners
- Improve product documentation, process maps and runbooks to reduce operational incidents and speed up onboarding of new features
Your profile
Essential skills
- Minimum 6 years' experience in business analysis, with significant exposure to cards products and services
- Demonstrable experience writing business requirements, acceptance criteria and running Business Acceptance Testing
- Strong ability to translate complex business needs into concrete IT scope and to evaluate technical options against business impact
- Client-oriented, structured and able to communicate clearly with senior stakeholders and technical teams
- Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to prepare documentation for multinational teams
Preferred skills
- Hands-on familiarity with cards systems architecture, tokenisation, gateway routing or scheme integrations
- Experience in project management or as Product Owner within a cards environment
- Practical experience with agile delivery methods
- Knowledge of other payment methods such as Wero and Apple Pay
