The organisation is a major energy distribution operator delivering metering and billing services for residential and commercial customers. The role exists to strengthen business analysis capacity for SAP projects, focusing on modules such as SAP IS-U and RACC, and to formalise business-side analysis before functional and technical design using BPM and modelling tools like Signavio or MS Visio.
The mission
Projects are primarily mid-sized SAP developments touching RACC, IS-U, FICA and FICO modules where accurate business analysis reduces rework during functional design. The team supports maintenance and enhancement requests, typically medium-scope changes that impact billing, contract management and settlement processes for distribution grid operations. Work feeds into phased deliveries with both waterfall and agile tracks.
Day-to-day you will act as the intermediary between business stakeholders and functional analysts, producing AS IS and TO BE process models, data analyses and business cases. You will prepare UAT test cases, help coordinate UAT execution, and write operating procedures and work instructions that allow operations teams to adopt changes. Regular travel to operational sites is expected, so a driving licence B and a personal vehicle are required.
Your responsibilities
- Translate business requests into scoped needs, producing clear problem statements, prioritized pain-point lists and quantified effort/gain estimates
- Produce detailed AS IS and TO BE process documentation using BPM techniques and modelling tools (Signavio or MS Visio) to drive functional specifications
- Analyse transactional data to validate root causes, define acceptance criteria and support the sizing of development work
- Draft business cases and UAT test cases, then coordinate test cycles with functional teams and business users to ensure acceptance criteria are met
- Write and maintain work instructions, process documents and operational modes that enable operators to follow new procedures after release
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders and deliver training materials where required to embed new processes
Your profile
Essential skills
- Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst, minimum 5 years, working on SAP projects and process optimisation
- Strong knowledge of SAP IS-U, RACC, and familiarity with FI/CO, MM or SD integrations
- Proven BPM capability, including AS IS / TO BE analysis and use of modelling tools such as Signavio or MS Visio
- Solid data analysis skills to extract, clean and interpret transactional datasets for requirement validation
- Experience drafting UAT test cases and operational procedures, with the ability to coordinate test campaigns and translate outcomes into requirements
- Practical experience in distribution grid operator environments (GRD) or equivalent utility processes
Preferred skills
- Experience with Business Warehouse or BI tools for reporting and data extraction
- Proven capability in requirements analysis and in designing and delivering end-user training
