A major financial institution is running a multi-year infrastructure programme to migrate web-based applications to cloud platforms. This Business Relationship Manager combines strong cloud and infrastructure knowledge, including Windows and Linux, with responsibility for coordinating application migration projects across multiple agile tribes. The role is focused on project coordination and stakeholder management rather than PMO or product owner duties.
The mission
The programme covers migration of legacy and web-based applications into new technologies and the cloud, and includes lifecycle management, middleware such as WAS, and workspace solutions like Citrix. The work matters because it consolidates the infrastructure estate, reduces operational complexity, and aligns applications with group architecture standards. Delivery follows Agile project management methods and requires close collaboration with internal group teams and external partners.
Day to day you will coordinate the end-to-end delivery of one or more migration projects, manage partner onboarding and service meetings in run mode, and keep delivery on time and within budget. You will organise Agile ceremonies across tribes and squads, drive User Acceptance Testing with partner teams, manage communications and roll-out, and hand over completed services to the operations teams. This role reports into the infrastructure programme and works across technical, security and business stakeholders.
Your responsibilities
- Coordinate partner onboarding and delivery milestones, ensuring migrations progress according to the architecture and Agile initiative outcomes
- Manage project communication with stakeholders and provide regular progress reports on time, scope and cost
- Analyse technical constraints and propose pragmatic migration approaches for Windows, Linux and cloud platforms
- Support change management activities with partner teams, guiding adoption and after care during handover to operations
- Track and validate User Acceptance Testing results and resolve delivery blockers with technical teams and suppliers
- Maintain programme documentation, action plans and risk registers to ensure compliance with group standards
Your profile
Essential skills
- Minimum 5 years experience in infrastructure with demonstrable cloud knowledge and application migration to the cloud
- Proven capability with Windows and Linux environments, middleware (WAS), Citrix and telecom or web-based application landscapes
- Experience running migration projects and lifecycle management projects, not help-desk support
- Practical knowledge of Agile project management methods, processes and tools and organising cross-team ceremonies
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and change management skills, with an end-to-end view and risk analysis capability
- Team-oriented, organised, result driven and able to work under pressure
Preferred skills
- Familiarity with IA concepts and how they impact infrastructure and migration design
