A major global securities services provider runs a Brussels-based Client Account team that supports institutional investor clients across multiple markets. The role exists to act as the single point of contact for client queries, claims and reporting, working daily with MS Excel and Access and with middle- and back-office processes for securities servicing.
The mission
The team handles lifecycle operations for custody and fund servicing, producing accounts reporting and operational KPIs that feed into local and central control functions. You will work alongside a local client account team and a central operations Hub to ensure accurate reporting, timely query resolution and robust control and consolidation of client positions and transactions.
Day to day you will manage incoming queries and claims end to end, supervise Hub activities where required, produce and present performance indicators to stakeholders and drive preventive actions for recurring incidents. Your work connects operational delivery, risk controls and client relationship management across internal operations and product teams.
Your responsibilities
- Manage and resolve client queries and claims promptly, ensuring stakeholders are updated and resolution steps are documented
- Produce and present key performance indicators and accounts reporting to operational and client stakeholders, highlighting trends and exceptions
- Supervise and challenge Hub activities, providing guidance and escalation when controls or SLAs are at risk
- Design and implement preventive measures and process improvements to reduce incidents and improve consolidation accuracy
- Ensure adherence to legal, compliance and internal control requirements across all handled processes
- Liaise with product, operations and IT teams to support investigations and change requests that impact reporting or control processes
Your profile
Essential skills
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrable experience in accounts reporting, financial middle office, back office, control or consolidation processes
- Strong MS Office skills, with advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data validation) and practical Access experience
- Proven experience working in middle or back office operations within securities servicing or fund administration
- Strong client focus with the ability to communicate investigation outcomes clearly to internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and compliance with controls
Preferred skills
- Experience with BNPP tools and financial processes is an asset
- Knowledge of Blackrock Aladdin is an advantage
- Background in banking or asset management environments is desirable
