The role sits inside the Payments tribe of a major Belgian financial institution, responsible for improving how charges and fee flows are managed across multiple group entities. This senior business analyst role requires strong experience in international payments and charges, conceptual modelling, and translating business needs into clear, testable requirements using tools such as Opus and standard requirements management practices.
The mission
The initiative focuses on the multi-year "charges our" programme to increase transparency and reduce manual operations in charge processing across several countries. The technical landscape combines payment operations, integration with platform squads, and iterative delivery through Opus feature refinement, with measurable KPIs tied to operational efficiency and client contacts.
Day to day you will lead cluster-level analysis and refinements, work closely with the Cluster Product Owner and an SPTS squad, and drive country onboarding for new entities. You will convert stakeholder needs into structured conceptual models and end-to-end requirements, define acceptance criteria for testing, and ensure that delivered features are adopted consistently across entities.
Your responsibilities
- Lead the business analysis for the charges initiative, producing measurable requirements that reduce manual steps and improve KPI outcomes
- Translate complex payments and operational problems into conceptual models, use cases, and user stories that guide development and testing
- Drive Opus refinement sessions and prioritise features with the Product Owner to match strategic milestones and onboarding timelines
- Coordinate multi-country stakeholder engagement, capture functional alignment, and execute the onboarding roadmap for new entities
- Validate solutions through requirements-based testing, defining acceptance criteria and verifying delivery with technical and operational teams
- Monitor and report on impact against KPIs, using data-driven insights to recommend further refinements
