The role sits inside the Brand & Corporate Functions cluster of a major Belgian financial institution and exists to translate cluster business priorities into clear brand and marketing plans. You will work across internal communications, corporate communications and change, using strong writing and editing skills and stakeholder management to align multiple teams and contribute to a bank-wide marketing communications strategy, including brand positioning and concept development.
The mission
You will join a cluster of Marketing & Communications Strategists who coordinate cluster-level strategy and feed into a global marketing communications roadmap. The cluster covers brand, internal comms, corporate comms and change, and your work will influence communications delivered across customer journeys and internal transformation programmes. You will partner with Product Owners, Marketing & Communications Managers and business stakeholders to ensure cluster plans match strategic priorities.
Day to day you translate business objectives into MarCom plans, set long-term objectives and KPIs for the cluster and support squads with strategic inputs and concept development. You will develop innovative concepts and early MVPs, represent MarCom in strategic projects, and ensure brand positioning and execution are consistent across channels and clusters.
Your responsibilities
- Translate corporate and cluster strategy into measurable marketing and communications plans that drive defined KPIs and outcomes.
- Design and validate brand and campaign concepts, producing clear briefs and MVPs for delivery teams.
- Align stakeholders across Product Owners, Managers and business functions through clear governance, roadmaps and communication rituals.
- Measure and report progress against long-term objectives, adjusting plans based on performance and stakeholder feedback.
- Represent Marketing & Communications in cross-cluster strategic initiatives and ensure coherent brand positioning across projects.
- Coach and advise squads and managers on messaging, change communications and implementation approaches.
Your profile
Essential skills
- 15+ years of experience in marketing and communications, with proven senior-level delivery in brand and corporate communications.
- Strong writing and editing skills, able to produce executive-level briefings, campaign copy and governance documentation.
- Demonstrable stakeholder management skills, able to influence senior business owners and align competing priorities.
- Deep knowledge of brand positioning and brand building, with practical experience translating strategy to creative briefs.
- Proficient with MS Office for presentations, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
- Strategic thinker with a helicopter view, good decision-making and clear presentation skills.
Preferred skills
- Proven experience implementing brand and communication strategies within the financial industry or a comparable regulated sector.
- Experience with change management and communications for organisational transformations.
