A marketing and communications chapter inside a major retail banking organisation is scaling its content practice to put storytelling and SEO at the centre of customer acquisition for younger segments. This role sits in a multidisciplinary Agile squad focused on the "Jeunes" segment, producing multiformat content and using AI-assisted writing tools and Surfer SEO to improve discoverability and conversions.
The mission
The team runs content operations for retail banking brands across the Benelux and broader European francophone market, aiming to increase organic visibility and engagement for products and services targeted at younger customers. The technical landscape combines editorial processes, SEO tooling (Surfer SEO), AI-assisted drafting and optimisation workflows, and collaboration with visual and audiovisual creators to deliver content across channels.
Day to day you will translate business and campaign briefings into publishable content aligned with content pillars and business KPIs. Working in a squad of 4 to 6 people alongside MarCom managers, a digital marketing expert and a visual creator, you will produce and localise copy for articles, e-mails, social posts, UX copy, scripts and short-form video, and you will apply SEO and GEO techniques to improve rankings and AI overview outputs. This is a fixed 6-month assignment at 80% FTE, with possible renewal.
Your responsibilities
- Own content outcomes by producing high-value, channel-specific copy that increases organic traffic, engagement and conversion rates.
- Optimise published assets for search and localisation using Surfer SEO and GEO best practices, raising share of voice and SERP presence.
- Apply AI tools to accelerate drafting, A/B variations and multilingual adaptation while ensuring editorial quality and regulatory compliance.
- Translate and adapt texts from Dutch into French in partnership with a Dutch-speaking storyteller to maintain one brand voice.
- Collaborate with audiovisual experts to convert narratives into scripts, video storyboards and social carousels that drive short-form engagement.
- Monitor content performance and recommend concrete improvements based on traffic, CTR, engagement and conversion metrics.
Your profile
Essential skills
- Senior-level copywriter with at least 6 years’ experience producing multiformat marketing content and thought leadership.
- Native-level French editorial skills, capable of producing clear, persuasive copy across channels.
- Strong practical experience in SEO-led writing and content optimisation, including use of Surfer SEO or equivalent.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted writing tools for drafting, optimisation and translation.
- Ability to translate and adapt Dutch source texts into French, and to work closely with Dutch-speaking colleagues.
- Good working English for sourcing and adaptation (B2 or equivalent).
Preferred skills
- Experience with GEO optimisation and local search strategies.
- Skills in analytics interpretation (traffic, engagement, CTR, SOV, conversions) and performance-driven content iteration.
- Experience working in Agile squads and collaborating with audiovisual teams to produce short-form video and carousel content.
