The organisation is a financial services provider operating in the credit and broker space, maintaining a portfolio of retail and wholesale credit products. This role exists to define and evolve the Enterprise Information Architecture for the credits domain and the broker business, combining domain expertise with hands-on architecture work in areas such as API architecture and data architecture.
The mission
You will take ownership of the information architecture and solution design for the credits domain, producing the as-is and to-be cartography of IT assets, and translating business strategy into architecture roadmaps. The landscape includes integration points with third-party broker systems, cloud packages, and internal data platforms, with solutions constrained by infrastructure and security requirements.
On a day-to-day basis you will design and certify solution architectures for IT projects, review implementations against the target architecture, and document deviations to update the reference architecture. You will work with product owners, delivery teams and security/infrastructure specialists to ensure project milestones and budgets are met while the platform evolves toward the target state.
Your responsibilities
- Define and maintain the domain-level enterprise information architecture and target architecture for credits and broker business, producing clear as-is and to-be cartography.
- Drive solution architecture for projects, delivering certified designs that meet business objectives while respecting infrastructure and security constraints.
- Influence and advise on API architecture and data architecture decisions to secure consistent integration patterns across broker channels.
- Monitor implementations, record deviations from the reference architecture, and propose realignments to maintain architectural coherence.
- Translate strategic business initiatives into actionable architecture roadmaps and work with teams to operationalise them.
- Support governance activities, including architecture reviews, certifications and documentation that feed the central reference architecture.
Your profile
Essential skills
- 5+ years of architecture experience or 5+ years working in credits or insurance, with demonstrable domain knowledge in the credits domain and broker business.
- Proven ability to define enterprise information architecture and produce IT asset cartography for complex domains.
- Hands-on experience with API architecture and data architecture, including designing integrations between internal systems and broker platforms.
- Experience operating within infrastructure and security constraints, producing solutions that are deployable and certifiable.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, able to translate business strategy into technical designs and present to stakeholders.
- Autonomous, proactive and used to working in small or medium sized organisations and multi-cultural teams.
Preferred skills
- Practical experience with cloud technology and cloud packages integration.
- Familiarity with infrastructure, security requirements and cloud-native deployment patterns.
- Prior exposure to enterprise governance, architecture certification or homologation processes.
