The organisation is a large Belgian banking group running an enterprise Data Hub to consolidate transactional and reference data used across retail and wholesale lines, and this senior data analyst role exists to capture, formalise and govern data and functional requirements. You will work on conceptual modelling and requirements management for data use cases, translating business needs into testable specifications and traceable artefacts, with regular stakeholder collaboration using MS Office and Tableau for analysis and reporting.
The mission
The immediate project focuses on expanding the Data Hub catalogue, defining data models and use cases that support reporting, regulatory compliance and downstream consumption by analytics teams. The technical landscape combines conceptual data modelling, requirements management tooling and handoffs to architects and development teams, with testing and acceptance cycles to validate designs.
On a day-to-day basis you will analyse business workflows and document domain requirements, maintain requirements traceability for impact analysis, and prepare clear acceptance criteria and test conditions for product and UAT testing. You will work closely with product owners, architects, test teams and data engineers to ensure requirements are actionable and reused across projects, and you will present findings to stakeholders in both English and the local languages.
Your responsibilities
- Capture and formalise data and business requirements, producing conceptual models and use-case documentation that drive design decisions
- Translate requirements into test conditions and expected results, ensuring clear coverage for product, performance and user acceptance testing
- Ensure requirements traceability and lead impact analysis when scope or designs change
- Collaborate with product owners, architects and data engineers to prioritise requirements and enable smooth transition to implementation
- Produce stakeholder-facing artefacts and presentations using MS Office and visualisations in Tableau to support decision making
- Participate in quality reviews of designs and prototypes to confirm requirements are met
Your profile
Essential skills
- Minimum 4 years of experience in business or data analysis roles, with hands-on use of conceptual modelling techniques and methods
- Proven capability in requirements management and maintaining requirements traceability
- Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint, for analysis and stakeholder reporting
- Good understanding of IT concepts and testing practices, able to convert requirements into testable acceptance criteria
- Clear understanding of workflow and business process analysis
- Strong analytical thinking, structured approach and ability to work independently while influencing stakeholders
Preferred skills
- Practical experience with Tableau for dashboards and data visualisation
- Previous exposure to banking domain processes and regulations
