A public sector digital operator for the French-speaking community runs a multi-year data programme to centralise and govern the administration's information assets. This role exists to contribute targeted technical expertise in data engineering, including cloud security and MS Dynamics integration, as part of a five-person multidisciplinary team building a prioritized Data Roadmap.
The mission
The programme focuses on centralising data architecture, operational data governance and an IT governance framework that supports data sovereignty and reduced duplication. The work will support many beneficiary administrations and public institutions, producing an AS-IS map, a target data architecture, documented governance foundations and a prioritized, actionable roadmap for the next five years.
You will operate as one of five specialists delivering the Data Roadmap, providing on-demand, high-impact interventions on technical topics such as cloud security, MS Dynamics integration and data sovereignty. Day-to-day scope combines short, focused consultancy engagements, hands-on technical support to core teams, and preparation or facilitation of workshops and documentation that feed directly into the roadmap and governance artefacts. The role is expected to supply expert contributions on a roughly weekly cadence while coordinating with the programme lead and beneficiary stakeholders.
Your responsibilities
- Deliver actionable technical advice that reduces architectural uncertainty and accelerates roadmap decisions, for example by validating cloud security options or CRM integration patterns.
- Produce clear, consumable artefacts, including AS-IS mappings, target data architecture diagrams and prioritized implementation steps that stakeholders can act on.
- Coach and transfer knowledge to core teams, ensuring adoption of governance primitives such as metadata catalogues, access controls and the only-once principle.
- Provide targeted troubleshooting and technical support on queries related to cloud, security, MS Dynamics or sovereignty requirements, resolving blockers that affect rollout plans.
- Facilitate and document technical workshops, turning discussion outcomes into concrete recommendations and backlog items.

Essential skills
- Proven capability to integrate quickly into diverse public-sector contexts and to get productive with limited onboarding time.
- Strong communicator with experience in training, coaching and written documentation for mixed technical and business audiences, enabling knowledge transfer across teams.
- Experienced technical adviser able to diagnose, recommend and justify choices on architecture, cloud security and CRM integration.
- Hands-on data engineering skills, able to produce or review data architecture artefacts, pipelines and access control models.
- Comfortable working as a senior contributor within a small multidisciplinary team, providing high-leverage input on request.
