As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design, build, deploy and maintain analytical solutions that power reporting and decision-making across a high-impact, data-driven organization. Working on modern BI and big data use cases, you will develop data ingestion pipelines, dimensional data models, and curated data marts, combining the Microsoft BI stack with Azure Databricks and Delta Lake. You will also test and troubleshoot end-to-end solutions, produce clear technical documentation, and contribute to stakeholder demos and knowledge transfer on the delivered data models.
You will join a central Data Office within our client, a leading public-sector institution, collaborating in a multidisciplinary agile team with data engineers, functional analysts, architects, reporting experts, data quality specialists and project leadership. This role is based in Brussels with a hybrid set-up (around 2 days per week on-site), and telework is expected to take place within Belgium. You will thrive here if you enjoy ownership, pragmatic delivery, and solving complex data challenges while staying close to business needs. A professional working knowledge of Dutch, French and English is a plus to collaborate smoothly with a diverse set of stakeholders.
