A public nature-management organisation that oversees tens of thousands of hectares of protected land is expanding its implementation team for nature restoration projects. This role exists to provide hands-on technical support and sustained coaching to less-experienced project leaders, combining knowledge of ecohydrology, public procurement legislation and the 3P procurement platform with practical drafting of technical and administrative specifications.
The mission
The team delivers nature inrichting and habitat restoration projects across a large portfolio of protected sites, running multiple contracts and preparatory studies in parallel. Work covers initiation and follow-up of studies such as ecohydrology assessments, tendering of consultants, preparation of environmental permit files and compliance with public procurement law, so strong familiarity with environmental permits and public procurement is required.
You will operate as a senior coach and technical advisor: you will provide direct support on drafting and checking technical specifications, advise on correct procurement procedures and follow permit trajectories, and step in operationally where needed to keep projects on track. Over the next three months the team will grow with at least six new colleagues, so a major part of the assignment is structured knowledge transfer and practical training so project leaders can progressively take on independent responsibilities.
Your responsibilities
- Coach project leaders to increase their independence, translating procurement and permitting rules into practical steps and templates
- Draft and review technical and administrative specifications, ensuring documents are compliant with public procurement legislation and fit-for-purpose for tendering
- Manage tendering of preparatory studies, including scope definition, evaluation criteria and follow-up with consultants to secure required inputs such as ecohydrology reports
- Prepare and support environmental permit applications, assemble dossier pieces, and monitor permit trajectories alongside project leaders
- Operate the 3P procurement platform and train colleagues in correct data entry and administrative follow-up to maintain compliant procurement records
- Coordinate onboarding and practical work planning for incoming team members, acting as a day-to-day contact for procedural and technical questions
