A federal independent administration is modernising its core citizen services through a multi-project eDossier programme, and this role exists to strengthen the front-end engineering capability for that programme. You will work on cloud-native single page applications built with Angular 2+, shaping front-end architecture and implementing API integrations that support portal-style user journeys and high-quality reusable UI components.
The mission
The eDossier programme is a multi-year modernisation effort with tight delivery milestones running to at least the end of 2028. The technical landscape combines microservices back-ends, RESTful APIs and cloud-hosted front-end deployments; the programme emphasises maintainable front-end architecture, a shared Design System and CI/CD delivery for repeatable releases.
You will join cross-functional agile delivery teams and work closely with an enterprise architect, UX/UI designers and back-end engineers. Day to day you will design and implement front-end solutions as a senior engineer and front-end architect, translate wireframes into production-grade Angular applications, define and consume APIs, and maintain library components for the organisation's Design System.
Your responsibilities
- Design and deliver front-end architecture that improves maintainability and reduces technical debt across multiple portal applications
- Implement and optimise production Angular 2+ single page applications that consume RESTful microservices and meet accessibility and cross-browser requirements
- Build, document and maintain reusable Design System library components to increase consistency and developer velocity
- Define and implement CI/CD pipelines for front-end deployments, improving release frequency and rollback safety
- Translate UX designs and wireframes into semantic, testable code and participate in code reviews to raise code quality
- Collaborate with stakeholders to propose alternative solutions and provide clear recommendations on technical choices
