A federal food safety agency is commissioning a focused evaluation of its IT contract and procurement practices to identify savings and improve operational risk controls. The assignment combines deep IT procurement and contract management review with operational risk management, producing a risk study, pragmatic recommendations and an implementation roadmap for senior leadership. The work requires senior ICT audit experience and clear non-technical presentation skills.
The mission
The project examines the organisation's end-to-end IT procurement lifecycle and ongoing contract management, including the processes that lead to contracts, service management arrangements and the financial drivers inside existing agreements. You will quantify current costs, highlight contract inefficiencies and build a structured risk analysis that covers operational exposures tied to procurement and supplier delivery.
You will be responsible for turning that analysis into a usable set of outcomes: a detailed audit report, a risk study with response strategies, an implementation roadmap prioritised against constraints and a concise PowerPoint for C-level reviewers. The assignment must be delivered to schedule, with completion by 30/06/2026, and you will coordinate with procurement, legal and IT stakeholders to validate findings and recommendations.
