The role sits in a major Belgian bank's international payments team, covering end-to-end processes that support cross-border transfers, ACH and STP improvements. This senior position focuses on process modelling and process improvement: you will document E2E payment flows, create flow charts, and own risk and control aspects while coordinating release notes and user-facing change activities.
The mission
The team is a multidisciplinary payments squad working inside an Agile delivery model, responsible for international payments flows used by internal operations and corporate clients. Current work includes improving straight-through-processing rates, updating the Welcome Pack content, and validating small functional changes across the payments chain. You will work against measurable KPIs for efficiency and error rates and keep process documentation aligned with legal, compliance and permanent control requirements.
On a day-to-day basis you will act as the E2E process manager for defined payment topics. That includes modelling new and adjusted subprocesses, running analysis on customer impact and operational risk, preparing and executing tests and demos, and drafting release notes and guidance for operational teams. You will coordinate with business owners, IT, compliance and front-line operations to ensure changes are implemented, adopted and monitored after go-live.

- Produce clear process models and flow charts that translate business needs into testable requirements and operational procedures

- Design and execute test scenarios and demos, validate application changes and confirm controls remain effective after implementation
- Monitor process performance and incidents, propose corrective actions and manage change until adoption is confirmed
- Engage stakeholders across business, IT and control functions to ensure compliance with legal, compliance and permanent control requirements
