A major Belgian financial institution runs a Customer Servicing & Efficiency tribe that builds highly automated workflows, remote customer servicing capabilities and fraud protection. This squad focuses on robotic process automation at scale, managing a park of more than 200 bots and continuously delivering new Blue Prism automations, so strong automation and product ownership skills are central to the role.
The mission
The squad operates inside a cluster dedicated to Automation/Robotics solutions, identifying new cases (process mining), designing bots and putting them into production. The technical landscape mixes RPA (Blue Prism), integration with core banking services, and orchestration tools; the work affects operations across multiple lines of business and supports high-volume, repeatable processes.
Day to day you will act as the product owner for a cross-functional squad of analysts, developers, testers and automation experts. You will define the product vision, translate strategy into a prioritized product backlog, set quarterly OKRs and sprint goals and act as the decision maker during sprint reviews and refinements. You will work closely with architects and developers to validate technical feasibility, with stakeholders to surface new automation candidates from process mining, and with the cluster product owner to align roadmaps and KPIs.
Your responsibilities
- Define and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap for automation initiatives, ensuring delivery of measurable business value.
- Prioritize the product backlog to maximize ROI from RPA investments, author user stories and acceptance criteria focused on operational outcomes.
- Decide on delivered functionalities during sprints, enabling timely releases of new bots and process improvements.
- Drive stakeholder alignment and expectation management across business owners, architects and operations, using OKRs and KPIs to measure impact.
- Lead squad ceremonies and collaborate with the Scrum Master to improve team delivery and continuous improvement.
- Monitor production bot performance and quality, initiating corrective actions or enhancements where needed.
Your profile
Essential skills
- Senior product owner experience, minimum 2 years owning digital products or automation portfolios.
- Solid technical experience with automation and RPA, comfortable discussing architecture and implementation details with Blue Prism developers.
- Proven ability to manage a product backlog, write clear user stories and prioritise to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Experience delivering digital transformation projects and managing multiple stakeholders across business and IT.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking and stakeholder management; ability to lead squad-level decisions and arbitrate feature trade-offs.
Preferred skills
- Certifications or training in Agile, SAFe, Prince2, ITIL or change management frameworks (ADKAR).
- Prior experience in banking or regulated environments and familiarity with process mining tools.

- English, C1 (fluent).
- French, B2, and/or Dutch, B2 (at least one local language required).

- Bachelors or Masters degree, or equivalent professional experience.
