As Product Owner Inbound-Outbound you will represent the business for a digital product in the Customer Experience domain, responsible for prioritising work in an Agile/SAFe context and translating stakeholder needs into clear user stories. The role requires strong Agile and Scrum proficiency plus experience in change management and executive stakeholder communication to align operational, distribution and IT stakeholders around product value.
The mission
The product sits at the intersection of customer contact, employee tooling and distribution partner flows. The team is focused on further digitalising inbound and outbound processes that drive customer engagement and operational efficiency, operating with multiple Agile teams and regular Program Increment planning cycles. Work matters because these processes affect first-line customer interactions and partner channels across the organisation.
Day to day you own the product backlog and the product vision for inbound and outbound channels, setting priorities and acceptance criteria to deliver measurable business value. You will work closely with Scrum Masters, architects and domain leads on the IT side and with product developers, operations and portfolio managers on the business side, prepare and guide PI planning, review sprint outcomes and accept stories when they meet agreed criteria.
Your responsibilities
- Own and prioritise the product backlog to maximise value for customers, employees and distribution partners
- Translate business needs and strategic objectives into clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria
- Align and manage expectations with executive and operational stakeholders to keep delivery focused on outcomes
- Facilitate Program Increment and sprint planning activities, and support Agile teams during execution and demos
- Validate delivered functionality through participation in user acceptance testing and review sessions
- Monitor market and digital developments, proposing incremental improvements that reduce friction and improve conversion or efficiency
Your profile
Essential skills
- Proven product ownership in a customer-facing domain, with an end-to-end perspective across channels
- Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum practices, experience operating within a SAFe environment
- Demonstrable experience in change management and digital transformation initiatives
- Effective executive stakeholder management and clear written and verbal communication
- Comfortable working in a large organisation with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Decisive, organised and able to close stories against agreed acceptance criteria
