A major Belgian financial institution runs an Automation and Robotics cluster that operates a park of more than 200 BluePrism bots. This Program Manager Business role exists to lead an initiative to migrate 83 robots linked to a newly created external servicing entity onto a dedicated robotics platform, applying program/project management and change management frameworks such as Agile, Prince2, ITIL and ADKAR.
The mission
The initiative sits in a cluster responsible for highly automated workflows and enterprise RPA at scale. The technical landscape includes BluePrism automation, integration with existing backend services and coordination with architecture and development teams; the migration affects dozens of production automations and stakeholders across business units. Successful delivery will reduce operational risks and consolidate automation onto a single platform.
Day to day you will structure and steer the initiative using the organisation's Agile way of working, run initiative-level ceremonies, define and prioritise OPUS (work packages) and maintain end-to-end monitoring of scope, quality, budget and timing. You will report to middle and senior management, coordinate with product owners and squads (including the cluster Product Owner and the SPA Transformation squad), and manage the relationship with the external services partner to ensure deployments reach production on schedule.
Your responsibilities
- Lead and deliver the robotics migration initiative, ensuring consolidated scope, cost control and timely go-to-market of each opus
- Drive stakeholder alignment and decision making at middle and senior management levels, producing clear status reports and escalation when required
- Define and prioritise opuses with Product Owners, converting business needs into deliverable work packages and acceptance criteria
- Coach and support Product Owners and squads during ideation, refinement and sprint planning to maintain velocity and quality
- Ensure technical and functional coherence by liaising with architects, developers and automation experts to mitigate integration risks
- Monitor and manage program risks and dependencies, instituting corrective actions and change control where necessary
Your profile
Essential skills
- Proven program/project management experience, minimum 10 years of professional experience and at least 5 years managing complex programs
- Certified and practiced in change management frameworks and project methodologies, such as Agile, Prince2, ITIL and ADKAR
- Hands-on familiarity with BluePrism automation concepts and the operational constraints of RPA at scale
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills, able to present to C-level and steer cross-functional committees
- Analytical problem solving, risk management and the ability to convert strategy into deliverables
- Resilient under pressure, adaptable to changing priorities and comfortable working with external partners
