A large enterprise is running a multi-year SAS migration program to replace legacy analytics and consolidate statistical models into a new platform. This senior Project Manager will coordinate end-to-end migration projects, applying Agile practices and GitLab-based delivery pipelines to keep scope, risks and stakeholder expectations under control.
The mission
The migration program covers multiple business units and a portfolio of related projects that move SAS products into modern operational environments. The program combines data engineering, analytics and application teams, and the delivery organisation expects to run several concurrent projects over the next 12 to 24 months. Clear scope management and risk control are essential because the work touches regulatory and compliance processes.
On a day-to-day basis you will own projects from initiation through closure: analyse requirements, define a structured migration roadmap, translate that roadmap into detailed project plans and ensure each project has defined deliverables and acceptance criteria. You will coordinate ICT and business stakeholders, lead Scrum ceremonies where relevant, run workshops to align expectations and use GitLab to track progress, issues and releases.
Your responsibilities
- Lead delivery of migration projects to agreed scope, schedule and budget, ensuring projects meet acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Define and maintain the overall roadmap and break it into executable project plans with clear milestones and deliverables
- Own stakeholder management and communications, consolidating project information and presenting concise status updates to sponsors and business owners
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, assign work based on capacity and skills, and ensure operational execution follows the project plan
- Coach and support project team members, running workshops and follow-ups so technical expertise is applied where it matters
- Monitor project performance across scope, cost, resources and risks, escalating deviations that exceed agreed tolerances
Your profile
Essential skills
- Senior-level project management experience, demonstrated by running multiple IT projects or a programme end-to-end
- Strong capability in Agile delivery and SCRUM practices, able to facilitate ceremonies and adapt Agile artefacts to programme needs
- Proven experience with GitLab for issue tracking, CI/CD visibility or release coordination
- Solid skills in project planning, scope management and risk management, with the ability to translate requirements into delivery plans
- Excellent stakeholder management, workshop organisation and communications skills, able to manage expectations across ICT and business teams
- Experience in program management and coordinating cross-functional teams in complex technical projects
