A major Belgian financial services organisation is executing a nearshoring programme to centralise selected operational activities and ensure regulatory and service continuity. This Senior Project Manager Business role focuses on complex project management, governance, risk and budget control, and SLA and operational performance monitoring across both build/transition workstreams and Business-as-Usual (BaU) operations.
The mission
The programme covers multiple transition streams that move transactional back-office activities to nearshore centres, with continued oversight of already-transferred processes. The technical and operational landscape includes IT-enabled process handovers, end-to-end process mapping, and structured governance aligned with corporate standards. Your work ensures the organisation meets regulatory, contractual, and operational commitments while keeping service levels stable during and after transition.
Day to day you will set up and run local project governance aligned with global governance, prepare and chair steering committees and project boards, and coordinate with a global project counterpart to keep roadmaps, milestones and dependencies synchronized. You will manage risk, lead impact analyses across process, organisation and financial dimensions, and take ownership of SLA, KPI and remediation reporting for nearshored activities.
Your responsibilities
- Lead local project governance and decision forums to deliver transition and BaU objectives, ensuring alignment with global roadmaps and milestones
- Drive risk, issue and change management to protect service continuity and regulatory compliance
- Own project budget and capacity planning, providing consolidated cost and benefit views and forecasting resource needs
- Monitor SLAs and operational KPIs, identify performance gaps and implement remediation plans with Operations, Risk and IT
- Coordinate end-to-end impact analyses for scope and transition activities, covering processes, organisation, finance and compliance
- Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimise quality, cost and efficiency after transition
