A major Belgian financial institution is strengthening its Transformation Office with a senior Project Manager Business to improve its portfolio management reporting and decision framework. The role sits in the Portfolio Management team and focuses on data sourcing, storage and Datawarehouse / BI solutions design and implementation to support ExCo-level prioritisation and impact tracking.
The mission
The Portfolio Management team operates a cross-functional programme that gives ExCo a continuous, holistic view of the bank's transformation portfolio. The technical landscape includes central data feeds, a datawarehouse, BI reporting layers, workflow tooling and executive dashboards used for yearly and quarterly prioritisation cycles. The programme affects multiple constructs, finance, IT and business segments and is intended to measure delivery impact across strategic "must-win" themes.
You will lead the design and roll-out of the portfolio technical framework, from requirements collection through to a multi-phase implementation roadmap and change plan. Day to day you will translate executive intent into measurable outcomes, define data and reporting specifications, coordinate delivery across IT and data teams, and produce executive reports and arbitration packs used in ExCo decision-making. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders at ExCo N-1 level and the ability to present complex data in concise PowerPoint and Excel artefacts.
Your responsibilities
- Design and enrich the portfolio management technical framework, defining data models, storage patterns and reporting flows that connect strategy to delivery outcomes.
- Translate executive requirements into detailed technical and functional specifications for the datawarehouse and BI implementation.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional delivery across IT, data engineering and business constructs, ensuring milestones for yearly and quarterly prioritisation are met.
- Drive prioritisation and dynamic arbitration by creating decision-ready dashboards and impact tracking reports for ExCo.
- Produce clear executive communications, steering packs and scenario analyses using PowerPoint and Excel.
- Mentor stakeholders on data governance and promote reusable patterns to reduce waste and minimise regulatory, security and fraud risk.
Your profile
Essential skills
- Minimum 6 years relevant experience, senior level in programme and portfolio contexts.
- Proven capability in data management and datawarehouse / BI solutions design and implementation.
- Demonstrable experience managing large programmes and working with ExCo or N-1 stakeholders.
- Full autonomy in PowerPoint and Excel, able to deliver executive-grade artefacts.
- Strong stakeholder management, strategic thinking and structured, results-driven delivery.
Preferred skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft automation, including Copilot, Power Platform and Power BI.
- Database certification or equivalent technical accreditation is a plus.
