A major Belgian financial institution runs a DevEx Tribe that improves developer experience by making application delivery faster and more reliable. This role exists to support the Marvin Platform Engineering squad, which builds and operates a platform to host cloud-based applications on Kubernetes; the role requires solid experience with cloud applications and underlying infrastructure and strong project management and Agile skills.
The mission
The DevEx Tribe focuses on platform features that reduce friction for application teams and increase release quality. The Marvin squad owns platform components that run on Kubernetes clusters and integrate with CI/CD pipelines, observability and identity services. The work matters because it directly shortens lead time for dozens of internal development teams and stabilises production delivery for business-critical applications.
On a day-to-day basis you will act as the interface between the Product Owner, platform engineers and stakeholders across infrastructure, security and application teams. You will coordinate planning and releases, follow up feature deliverables and manage risks affecting scope, quality and deadlines. Your work will include preparing sprint reviews and SoS meetings, keeping feature documentation up to date and ensuring that the squad can deliver according to the quarterly roadmap.
Your responsibilities
- Coordinate objectives and capacity with tribe management, the Product Owner and cross-functional stakeholders to secure timely feature delivery.
- Monitor scope, quality and deadlines for platform features, raising and resolving impediments that block delivery.
- Ensure visibility through clear documentation and regular reporting for sprint reviews, SoS, refinements and delivery boards.
- Drive risk identification and mitigation for cloud applications and underlying infrastructure, escalating when needed to protect deadlines.
- Facilitate decision-making between platform engineering, security, and application teams to align on releases and dependencies.
- Support continuous improvement of project management methods, processes and tools used by the squad.
