Within a large Belgian financial organisation's Channels and Customer Experience area, the Sales Data Stack squad transforms data flows between sources and visualization layers to deliver actionable sales insights. This medior Scrum Master role focuses on Agile/Scrum coaching, Scrum-of-Scrums coordination and understanding data pipelines and ETL processes to improve feature delivery and reduce run-and-maintain work.
The mission
The squad works on sales data transformation and delivery at scale, integrating with a central Data Hub and contributing to the Sales Data Insight product. The technical landscape includes data pipelines, ETL jobs, visualization layers and cross-tribe feature planning where features are tracked through planning, testing and deployment to production. The team is one of several in the tribe, typically 6-10 engineers plus product and quality roles, and their work affects downstream sales reporting and analytics used by hundreds of business users.
Day to day you will coach the squad on Agile/Scrum practices, run ceremonies, and lead Scrum-of-Scrums to coordinate dependencies across 3-5 squads. You will focus on improving delivery predictability, protecting the team from unplanned work, and enabling engineers to allocate time for refactoring and technical debt reduction. You will regularly report progress to delivery governance and work closely with product owners and release roles to ensure end-to-end feature delivery.
Your responsibilities
- Coach the squad to increase autonomy and delivery predictability, measured by consistent sprint outcomes and reduced blocker time
- Orchestrate end-to-end feature delivery across squads, align dependencies and run Scrum-of-Scrums to keep multiple teams synchronized
- Remove impediments and protect the team from unexpected work influx so engineers can focus on planned delivery and technical debt reduction
- Establish and follow up on delivery plans with contributors, reporting risk and progress to the Delivery Board and related governance bodies
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, introduce Kanban for run-and-maintain work and help the team adopt pragmatic Agile practices
- Facilitate stakeholder communication and translate business goals into actionable Agile plans with product and release roles
