The IT Tribe Daily Banking runs a cluster of squads that maintain customer-facing payments and cash applications, and this Cluster Scrum Master role exists to coordinate delivery across those squads. You will work directly with the Cluster Product Owner and six squads to drive cluster-level delivery using Scrum of Scrums practices, build knowledge of Cards and Cash products, and act as the bridge between business and IT for multiyear initiatives such as the ESTREEM programme.
The mission
The cluster covers card issuing, card transactions and cash-related services used by retail and corporate customers across multiple channels. The technical landscape combines squad-level product teams, shared platform components and an enterprise architecture; the cluster contributes features, opuses and releases that feed an end-to-end cards issuing and transaction value proposition. The work matters because it aligns squad delivery to group programme governance and prepares the cluster for the multiyear ESTREEM initiative.
On a day-to-day basis you will coordinate end-to-end delivery across six squads, facilitate the cluster refinement and delivery board, maintain the cluster delivery roadmap and run Scrum of Scrums to keep cross-team dependencies visible. You will resolve cluster-level impediments, align recurrently with architecture and reporting stakeholders on progress, and act as a spokesperson for the cluster together with the Cluster Product Owner as part of the Tribe Leadership Team.
Your responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end delivery outcomes by coordinating feature, testing, release and aftercare activities across squads, reducing lead time and handoff delays
- Facilitate Scrum of Scrums and the cluster delivery board to keep dependencies, risks and priorities visible for stakeholders
- Maintain and communicate the cluster delivery roadmap, ensuring alignment with architecture and the multiyear ESTREEM timelines
- Remove cluster-level impediments and escalate appropriately to unblock progress across squads
- Coach and stimulate squad Scrum Masters and teams to increase autonomy and continuous improvement
- Report delivery status and highlight risks to Product Owners, architects and tribe leadership in a clear, data-driven way
Your profile
Essential skills
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Scrum Master or similar, with exposure to coordinating multiple agile teams
- Demonstrable experience with Scrum of Scrums and cross-team facilitation
- Strong knowledge of cluster products/assets covering Cards and Cash sufficient to support squad decision making
- Ability to translate between business and IT stakeholders, aligning priorities and requirements
- Skilled communicator, able to handle complex stakeholder conflicts and adopt a helicopter view to manage inter-tribe dependencies
Preferred skills
- Experience in cards issuing and/or cards payments
- Familiarity with agile team practices and common ceremonies across multiple squads
