The Transversal Capabilities & Functions tribe at a major Belgian financial institution coordinates HR tooling and business support across the bank, maintaining systems used by HR specialists and all employees. This role exists to strengthen the HR cluster with senior-level business analysis, combining data analytics expertise and strong business experience to improve HR processes and reporting, including work on SAP HR-related features.
The mission
The HR cluster maintains a portfolio of tools such as absence and personal data portals, payroll interfaces and specialist HR service centre applications. The work covers functional specification, process design, acceptance testing and reporting; success means reliable daily operations and clearer, auditable processes for HR teams and employees.
You will join a multidisciplinary squad made up of process engineers, business analysts, development engineers, a product owner and a scrum master. On a typical day you will consolidate stakeholder needs, translate them into feature-level acceptance criteria, support refinements with the development team and own UAT and documentation for delivered features. You will also use data analytics to shape reporting and contribute to data model decisions that improve operational transparency.
Your responsibilities
- Lead the consolidation of stakeholder pain points and business needs into clear product features and acceptance criteria, improving HR tool reliability and user satisfaction.
- Drive feature refinement with the product owner and development team, ensuring stories have testable requirements and traceable business rules.
- Organise and support User Acceptance Testing, validate results and ensure defects are resolved before production release.
- Analyse HR data to design or refine reports and data models that reduce manual work and improve decision making for HR operations.
- Improve and standardise process and support documentation so incidents are solved faster and knowledge transfer across the squad is straightforward.
- Engage with HR specialists and compliance stakeholders to ensure process changes meet regulatory and internal policy requirements.
Your profile
Essential skills
- Minimum 6 years of business analysis experience, with proven delivery in HR or transversal business functions.
- Strong capability in data analytics, including translating data into actionable reports and input for data modelling.
- Demonstrable stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience specifying acceptance criteria, supporting UAT and producing concise, usable documentation.
- Structured, solution-oriented mindset with autonomy and a collaborative approach to squad work.
Preferred skills
- Practical knowledge of SAP HR or exposure to SAP personnel modules.
- Experience working in Agile squads and using Agile ceremonies to deliver features.
- Familiarity with HR processes such as payroll and benefits administration.
