The role sits in a programme that digitalises prescription and treatment proposals across Belgium's healthcare network, part of the national eHealth initiative. The platform centralises sensitive medical data and processes several tens of millions of prescriptions per year, so strong functional quality practices, Agile experience and JIRA-based traceability are essential. This position strengthens the functional quality layer by owning test analysis, coverage and execution for end-to-end healthcare workflows.
The mission
The project delivers a regulated eHealth platform that connects prescribers, healthcare providers, patients and insurers, with multi-system integrations and both web and mobile interfaces. Because of the critical nature and scale of the data flows, work is organised in Agile / Scrum teams, automated testing exists, and the focus is on rigorous functional validation, traceability and measurable test coverage across business rules and integrations.
On a day-to-day basis you will act as the Feature Quality Owner for specific product areas, collaborating with product owners, developers and business stakeholders. You will analyse user stories and functional specifications, design and maintain end-to-end test scenarios, run functional and regression campaigns, and provide structured reporting and go / no-go recommendations for releases. You will also support and coordinate User Acceptance Testing with business users.
Your responsibilities
- Own and improve feature-level functional quality by defining clear test coverage and acceptance criteria that align with business rules and regulatory constraints
- Design, maintain and execute end-to-end test scenarios and regression suites that validate workflows across systems and platforms
- Report on test progress, coverage metrics and defect status with clear, structured artefacts that support release decisions
- Identify functional gaps, edge cases and integration risks and work with development teams to prioritise and resolve them
- Coordinate and support UAT with business stakeholders, ensuring results are reproducible and traceable in the test management tool
- Contribute to release validation and provide evidence-based Go / No-Go recommendations
Your profile
Essential skills
- Minimum 8 years hands-on experience in functional software testing, test analysis and scenario design
- Proven experience as a Test Analyst, Feature Quality Owner or similar role owning feature quality
- Practical experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery teams and collaborating with product owners
- Strong experience with JIRA and a test management tool such as TestLink, Xray, Zephyr Scale or Octane
- Demonstrable focus on test coverage, execution discipline, traceability and structured reporting
- Strong analytical mindset, ability to identify edge cases and a hands-on mentality
Preferred skills
- Experience in public sector or other regulated environments
- Experience testing multi-system integrations and multi-platform applications (web and mobile)

- French, CEFR C1 (fluent) or Dutch, CEFR C1 (fluent) required
- English, CEFR B2 (working proficiency)
