The eReferral component of the national eHealth programme centralises referral prescriptions and medical proposals between prescribers, providers, patients and insurers. The Senior Functional QA Consultant / Feature Quality Owner will strengthen functional quality on this platform by bringing rigorous test analysis, coverage definition and disciplined execution, working with Agile / Scrum teams and test management tools such as JIRA and TestLink.
The mission
The project digitalises referral workflows that move several tens of millions of prescriptions and proposals per year, so functional validation must be precise and traceable. The platform exchanges sensitive healthcare data across multiple systems and channels, so the team focuses on end-to-end business rule validation, data integrity and clear audit trails.
Day to day you will work in a cross-functional team of developers, automation engineers and product owners to translate user stories and specifications into executable functional tests. You will define and maintain regression suites, run functional and integration tests, support UAT with business stakeholders and produce Go / No-Go release recommendations on each sprint.
Your responsibilities
- Own and improve functional test coverage for referral workflows, ensuring business rules and edge cases are captured and traceable.
- Analyse user stories and specifications early to enable shift-left testing and reduce rework during development.
- Design, maintain and execute end-to-end functional, integration and regression scenarios across web and mobile user journeys.
- Report test execution status, coverage metrics and defect trends clearly to product owners and release managers.
- Collaborate with developers and automation engineers to triage defects and convert manual regression cases into automated suites.
- Prepare and coordinate User Acceptance Testing campaigns with business stakeholders and validate release readiness.
Your profile
Essential skills
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Test Analyst or Functional QA, with demonstrable functional testing delivery in regulated or multi-system environments.
- Proven experience supporting UAT campaigns and working directly with business stakeholders.
- Strong practical knowledge of Agile / Scrum practices and sprint-based delivery.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA and a test management tool such as TestLink, Xray, Zephyr Scale or Octane.
- Structured approach to test design, strong analytical mindset and ability to identify edge cases and integration risks.
- Clear, concise reporting skills and a disciplined approach to traceability and execution.
Preferred skills
- Experience validating multi-system integrations and multi-platform applications.
- Familiarity with test automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress or Postman and an interest in converting manual suites to automated regression.
