A major public transport operator with over 10,000 employees is undertaking a multi-year HR digital transformation to migrate Core HR from a heavily customised SAP S/4HANA landscape to SuccessFactors Employee Central. This role exists to manage the technical and functional design, the EC↔S/4HANA integrations and the Hastus interface work, combining SAP architecture knowledge with hands-on coordination of implementation partners and HR stakeholders.
The mission
The programme covers migration of Core HR to SuccessFactors Employee Central, integration with payroll, time and organisational management in SAP, and connection to OpenText for the electronic personnel file. The transformation targets a multi-tier HR support model with Employee Self Service via an HR Launchpad, native integration with a future HRSSM solution, and automated document flows; you will operate in an environment where the current SAP landscape is highly customised and where data consistency across SuccessFactors modules is critical.
You will be responsible for the technical study, the implementation roadmap and the operational delivery of EC and related interfaces. Day to day you will lead workshops, define the functional scope for Employee Central, coordinate EC↔S/4HANA (PA/PY/Time/OM) integrations and the Hastus webservice, plan test cycles including UAT, supervise data migration and support cutover and hypercare, working with internal HR, IT teams and external implementation partners.
Your responsibilities
- Lead the technical study and define the target architecture for SuccessFactors Employee Central in a customised SAP S/4HANA environment, delivering clear impact analyses
- Drive the EC implementation plan and manage the implementation partner to ensure timely delivery of milestones and artefacts
- Coordinate integrations, including EC↔S/4HANA (PA/PY/Time/OM) and the Hastus webservice, ensuring data replication and reconciliation strategies
- Organise and run workshops, collect and validate business requirements, and translate them into functional specifications for development teams
- Define and execute test strategy, manage regression and UAT cycles, and track defect resolution to acceptable operational levels
- Oversee data migration activities, produce Query Manager 4 reports for operational follow up, and manage cutover, go/no-go decision gates and post-go-live hypercare
Your profile
Essential skills
- Proven experience in SAP HR architecture and technical studies, with deep familiarity of SAP S/4HANA in an HR context
- Strong functional and technical knowledge of SuccessFactors Employee Central and experience planning EC migrations
- Experience with transport operations planning systems, specifically Hastus, and designing webservice interfaces to SAP Time
- Ability to produce and use reports from Query Manager 4 to support analysis and operations
- Track record of managing implementation partners, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and running UAT cycles
- Strong analytical skills, structured approach to delivery, and clear stakeholder communication
