A large retail and wholesale bank operating under European regulatory frameworks is strengthening its Accounting & Reporting team to improve Corep Solvency reporting and related controls. The role focuses on in-depth Corep analysis, implementation of CRR3 requirements and quarterly validation of supervisory figures, using strong Excel and Access skills for traceability and documentation.
The mission
The Accounting & Reporting department prepares supervisory and management reports used by senior management, regulators and external auditors. This assignment concentrates on Corep Solvency reporting and P3 deliverables, with responsibility for ensuring traceability of inputs, documenting complex topics such as FX and market risk, and applying the EBA ITS on supervisory reporting.
You will work closely with the Head of Solvency Reporting and a small team of finance specialists, owning Large Exposure reporting and the production, analysis and delivery of quarterly and semi-annual P3 reportings. Day to day you will perform deep-dive analyses, validate quarterly Corep figures, respond to regulator and auditor questions, and contribute to projects that update processes to reflect CRR3 changes. The assignment duration runs through the next reporting cycles, requiring immediate operational impact from day one.
Your responsibilities
- Lead deep-dive analyses into the most sensitive Corep Solvency topics and produce clear traceability from source data to reported numbers
- Own the Large Exposure reporting process, ensuring completeness, controls and timely submission to internal stakeholders
- Validate and approve quarterly Corep figures and prepare supporting documentation for supervisors and auditors
- Produce, analyse and deliver the quarterly and semi-annual P3 reportings with clear reconciliations and control evidence
- Document complex Corep topics (FX, market risk, product treatment) and update process documentation to reflect CRR3 and EBA ITS requirements
- Support cross-functional projects to implement reporting improvements and strengthen end-to-end controls
Your profile
Essential skills
- Minimum 6 years in accounts reporting, control or consolidation processes, with at least 5 years operational experience in Corep Solvency reporting
- Proven knowledge of CRR3 and the EBA ITS on supervisory reporting
- Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel and Access for data validation and traceability
- Practical experience in a banking environment and solid understanding of banking and insurance products including derivatives
- Ability to deliver high quality outputs on schedule, and to explain technical points to management, regulators and auditors
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy and organisational sensitivity
Preferred skills
- Experience with bank internal tools and financial processes is an asset
- Prior audit firm experience on Corep Solvency reviews is an advantage
