The organisation is a large financial services group that delivers digital channels and conversational services for individual customers and employees. This Test Engineer role, centred on manual testing and business testing, exists to strengthen a chatbot squad and to verify end-to-end behaviour, business rules and multilingual content across integrated banking systems.
The Mission
The team develops and maintains conversational and digital channel features used by retail customers and staff, working in an agile squad that combines product, design and development. The technical landscape is primarily front-end and API integrations for chat and messaging flows, with frequent releases and a focus on content consistency in Dutch, French and English. The work matters because conversations must follow banking rules and regulatory expectations while remaining clear across languages.
Day to day you will operate as the squad-level manual business tester for chatbot deliveries. Your scope includes designing and executing end-to-end and non-regression manual test campaigns, validating user journeys and edge cases across integrated services, and confirming multilingual content and tone. You will work closely with product owners, business analysts, developers and conversational designers to provide testability feedback and to support release readiness decisions.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and maintain clear manual test cases that cover end-to-end scenarios and non-regression suites, producing reusable test artifacts.
- Validate business requirements and user journeys, ensuring business rules are implemented correctly across integrated systems.
- Execute multilingual validation, checking content, tone and consistency in Dutch, French and English and reporting language-specific issues.
- Identify, record and prioritise defects with enough detail for developers to reproduce and for stakeholders to make release decisions.
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies, providing early feedback on risks, testability and acceptance criteria.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases and defects to support audits and compliance reviews.
Your Profile
Essential Skills
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a manual tester or business tester in complex digital environments.
- Strong manual testing and business testing capabilities, able to design tests using equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis and scenario-based testing.
- Demonstrable experience with end-to-end testing and regression testing across integrated systems.
- Ability to write clear defect reports and maintain structured test documentation.
- Comfortable working in agile teams, and able to communicate quality risks and testability concerns early.

- Experience or familiarity with banking products and services, including rules and compliance expectations.
