Years of independently developed interfaces have produced a fragmented user experience across citizen-facing and staff applications, exposing accessibility gaps and inconsistent components. As a UI/UX Designer with hands-on Angular and Figma experience you will lead UX research and turn prototypes into a design system implemented with PrimeNG components.
The Mission
Within a major public sector organisation responsible for citizen services, the digital portfolio includes several Angular front-ends at different maturity levels. The stack mixes legacy templates and PrimeNG-based components, creating visual and ergonomic inconsistencies that frustrate users and slow development. Modernising the portfolio means delivering coherent, accessible interfaces that reduce friction for citizens and agents.
In this medior UI/UX designer role you'll own the end-to-end design workflow: plan and execute ux research and usability testing, create wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma, and build and maintain a component-driven design system based on PrimeNG components. You will work day-to-day with front-end developers, analysts and project leads to validate implementations in Angular and raise compliance to WCAG 2.1.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead user research, interviews, workshops and usability tests, synthesising findings into clear personas, journeys and design priorities.
- Design and deliver wireframes, interaction specs and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma that developers can implement.
- Build and maintain a reusable component library and design documentation aligned with PrimeNG, ensuring consistent UI patterns across applications.
- Define and enforce accessibility requirements and acceptance criteria to meet WCAG 2.1 across new and existing interfaces.
- Collaborate closely with Angular front-end developers to translate Figma components into HTML/CSS and resolve implementation gaps.
- Review project deliverables, run heuristic evaluations and act as the UX/UI reference to improve overall ergonomics.
