Since 2021 a public-sector programme has run a Planisware SaaS platform (P4) to manage projects, programmes, portfolios and strategic plans. The platform supports both business and IT projects at scale, and the capacity planning module is currently being deployed, so strong Planisware P4 and ODATA/data extraction skills are required.
The mission
The platform currently holds about 3,500 projects, 1,100 programmes and sub-programmes, 140 strategic plans and around 700 active users. The PMO Digital team of three provides technical administration and development for the Planisware (P4) SaaS instance, and this role sits in that team to maintain availability, deliver new functionality and support capacity planning rollout.
On a typical day you will analyse functional and technical requirements, configure or develop solutions in Planisware, and run quality assurance for releases. You will work directly with the PMO, the functional application owner and business users to translate needs into functional and non-functional specifications, implement changes in the P4 environment, automate data extracts and transformations, and train key users on new features.
Your responsibilities
- Lead configuration and development work in the Planisware P4 platform to deliver business requirements and measurable improvements in user workflows
- Define and execute test plans, supervise test campaigns, and drive corrective measures until releases meet agreed quality criteria
- Administer the SaaS application, manage upgrades and configuration baselines, and ensure platform performance and availability
- Implement data extraction and transformation processes using ODATA and SQL to provide reliable feeds for reporting and capacity planning
- Produce clear technical and functional documentation and deliver training sessions to key users and stakeholders
- Provide second-line support, resolve incidents, and coordinate fixes with vendors and internal teams
Your profile
Essential skills
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of Planisware P4, Planisware certification is required
- Proven experience in SaaS application administration and platform lifecycle management
- Practical development skills in javascript, html, css and sql, applied to configuration or bespoke extensions
- Experience extracting and transforming data using ODATA or equivalent APIs, and producing repeatable ETL processes
- Strong functional and technical analysis skills, able to write functional and non-functional requirements
- Comfortable working in an agile environment and collaborating with PMO, business owners and technical teams
- Experience delivering user training and producing operational documentation
- Clear written and verbal communication, methodical approach and ability to work autonomously
