A major national lottery operates a high-traffic hybrid retail and digital ecosystem and is running a multi-phase programme to improve its public website and mobile experience. This role exists to optimise the site built on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.5), translating marketing and sales requirements into AEM components and pages, working in an Agile delivery environment with Jira or Azure DevOps.
The mission
The project focuses on stabilising and improving the public-facing AEM website and its connection to the app and retail touchpoints. The platform must support very high peaks of activity from millions of play events, so work emphasises scalable AEM component design, responsive layouts, and correct telemetry for analytics and targeting.
Day to day you will be part of the cross-functional AEM team and act as a bridge between marketing/business stakeholders and the technical delivery teams. You will run workshops, write functional analyses and user stories, validate implementations in testing, and produce documentation of AEM components, templates and site structure so that development and content teams can operate independently.
Your responsibilities
- Translate business requirements and user journeys into concrete AEM functionality and component specifications that developers can implement
- Lead workshops and walkthroughs that convert ambiguous marketing needs into measurable acceptance criteria and user stories
- Prepare and prioritise functional analysis documents, wireframes and Jira/DevOps backlog items for sprints
- Validate delivered features through demos and functional testing, ensuring responsive behaviour and SEO rules are applied
- Document component behaviour, templates and authoring guidelines so content teams follow Adobe best practices
- Coordinate with external web agencies and internal technical teams to ensure designs are implementable and testable
Your profile
Essential skills
- At least 2 years experience in a functional or analyst role on AEM projects, including hands-on knowledge of AEM 6.5
- Proven ability to convert marketing requirements into AEM components, templates and page structures
- Working knowledge of Agile delivery and backlog management using Jira or Azure DevOps
- Practical understanding of responsive design, UX wireframes, SEO fundamentals and user journeys
- Strong communication and facilitation skills for workshops, demos and stakeholder alignment
- Ability to produce clear functional analysis documents and acceptance criteria
Preferred skills
- Familiarity with Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics or Adobe Campaign is an advantage
- Experience collaborating with external web or design agencies
