The ICT team in a federal public-sector organisation is replacing an aging indicator application with a new solution built on the Microsoft Power Platform. The project will deliver a model-driven PowerApp backed by Dataverse and integrated Power Automate flows to meet modern security and governance requirements, so strong experience with Power Platform and Dataverse is essential.
The mission
The project is a full rewrite of a core indicators application to satisfy updated security standards and to move logic and data into Dataverse. The technical landscape centres on model-driven PowerApps, Dataverse data modelling and security roles, Power Automate cloud flows, and integrations via standard and custom connectors and REST APIs. Delivery follows Agile/Scrum practices and work will feed into a staged ALM and deployment pipeline.
On a day-to-day basis you will design and implement the Dataverse data model, configure forms, views and dashboards, author Power Automate flows for business processes and error handling, and build client-side extensions with JavaScript. You will translate user stories into technical solutions, participate in sprint ceremonies, run debugging and integration tests, and document solutions so they can be deployed and maintained under the Power Platform ALM approach.
Your responsibilities
- Design and implement model-driven PowerApps and Dataverse schemas that meet defined security and functional requirements, reducing manual processing and support calls.
- Develop and optimise Power Automate cloud flows and business process flows to automate indicator calculations and approval chains, with robust error handling.
- Build and maintain client-side scripting and UI behaviours using JavaScript to improve form validation and user interaction.
- Define and apply solution packaging, environments and deployment processes for Power Platform ALM to ensure repeatable releases.
- Integrate the application with external systems using standard and custom connectors, REST/Web API calls, and Azure components where required.
- Support testing, debugging and acceptance cycles and produce technical documentation and runbooks for operational teams.
