A major Belgian insurer needs a junior administrator to provide backfill support in group life policy servicing. The role centres on policy and contract management, clear client and broker communication, and strong attention to detail while processing affiliated member files and handling Sigedis communications.
The mission
The team manages group life schemes that cover life, death, disability and hospitalisation benefits for corporate clients, ensuring files comply with legal, fiscal and internal regulations. Work is largely file-based: you will process membership changes, benefit updates and routine correspondence, and ensure outputs meet regulatory requirements for extralegal benefits and taxation.
Day to day you will work as a Group Life Policy Servicing Administrator within the policy servicing team, handling inbound requests from members, brokers and internal stakeholders by phone and email. You will use internal tools including Excel, Word, Outlook and central/mainframe systems to record changes, follow up on Sigedis notices and close cases within legal deadlines. This role is a hands-on, junior position focused on accurate case management and reliable client communication.
Your responsibilities
- Process and update affiliated member and policyholder files to deliver accurate benefits administration and regulatory compliance
- Respond to client and broker requests clearly and within agreed service times, ensuring issues are resolved or escalated appropriately
- Analyse Sigedis communications and other external notices, apply required changes to contracts and document the outcome
- Prioritise and manage multiple cases to meet statutory deadlines while maintaining data accuracy and audit trails
- Maintain records in internal systems and support periodic reconciliations and reporting
- Support team handovers and contribute to incremental improvements in templates and process documentation

Essential skills
- Proven capability in policy or contract management, with a focus on accuracy and compliance
- Strong case management and prioritisation skills, able to handle several files concurrently
- Clear client and broker communication, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on transparency and follow-up
- Knowledge of group life cover types: life, death, disability and hospitalisation
- Understanding of regulations for extralegal benefits and taxation and familiarity with Sigedis processes
- Comfortable using Excel, Word, Outlook and central/mainframe systems
- Service-oriented mindset, attention to detail, proactive and collaborative team player
Education
- Relevant diploma or equivalent practical experience in insurance or administration
