Projet The Belgian National Schengen Information System (NSIS), deployed within the Federal Police, enables the exchange of information between the various European countries included in the Schengen area via the central system. It is interconnected with all Federal Police applications as well as various federal applications.
Mission Management of IT solution implementation; organization and use of the necessary resources and skills, in line with costs, deadlines and quality requirements. Development and maintenance of project strategies and schedules, definition of tasks and deliverables, quality control, risk analysis and management, status reporting, problem reporting, change management, project monitoring and organization, knowledge management and transfer. Management and supervision of the team in charge of project activities and control of their deliverables. Participation in status and consultation meetings at program level. Architecture and design of information systems. Analysis of existing system architecture. Design and development of component-based architectures. Identification of target and transition architectures. Development of roadmaps. Analysis of the integration of different information systems. Coordination of technical platform implementations. Participation in technical working groups, status reporting and meetings with users. Support for testing, technical documentation, implementation, evaluation and reporting. As part of this role, it is important that the candidate has a good understanding of the business aspects related to an NSIS: Exchanges and the Schengen Protocol, information exchanges between the national Schengen system and the central system.
