A large public-sector IT transformation is replacing multiple legacy back-office systems with a single integrated platform. This role supports the Program Management Team in governance, reporting and stakeholder coordination, with day-to-day use of Azure, Azure DevOps and Power BI to produce dashboards and management reports.
The mission
The programme is a strategic IT transformation that simplifies the organisation's application landscape by consolidating several legacy systems into one platform. The initiative involves more than 150 employees across 15 delivery teams and touches core finance and operations processes, so clear governance and accurate reporting are essential.
You will sit in the Program Management Team alongside the Program Manager and IT Delivery Manager and work closely with Product Owners, the Change Manager and QA. Your scope includes maintaining programme plans in Azure DevOps, producing management dashboards in Power BI and Microsoft BI, and acting as process owner for governance and reporting cycles during delivery.
Your responsibilities
- Own programme reporting and dashboards, delivering timely management information that drives decisions and highlights risks and dependencies.
- Maintain and update cross-team plans and milestones in Azure DevOps, ensuring traceability between tasks, releases and programme objectives.
- Coordinate steering committees and stakeholder sessions, preparing agendas, documentation, minutes and follow-up on action points.
- Implement and improve governance and reporting processes, standardising templates and automating data collection where possible using Microsoft BI and Power BI.
- Produce concise decision packs and status reports for senior stakeholders, using Excel and PowerPoint to present clear recommendations.
- Liaise with product, delivery and change teams to validate progress data and resolve discrepancies between team-level and programme-level reporting.
Your profile
Essential skills
- Senior-level PMO experience in complex IT projects or transformation programmes, able to operate at programme level across multiple streams.
- Proven ability to build and maintain programme-level plans and reporting in Azure DevOps and Confluence.
- Strong experience creating management dashboards and reports with Power BI and Microsoft BI; able to turn data into clear decision support.
- Excellent analytical skills, structured working style and the ability to present complex information succinctly in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills, comfortable running steering committees and follow-up processes.
