A public agency responsible for the long-term management of radioactive waste runs multi-year infrastructure and technical projects to protect people and the environment. This role exists to lead and monitor construction and installation projects from concept to handover, with a strong focus on project monitoring, regulatory compliance and public procurement for government contracts.
The mission
You will join a project delivery function that manages medium-to-large infrastructure projects and technical upgrades across the organisation's facilities. The portfolio includes construction sites and installations that must meet nuclear and conventional safety rules, interaction with the national nuclear regulatory authority, and a structured PMO governance model. Projects are typically multi-year and require close coordination with technical experts, contractors and permitting authorities.
Day to day you will own project plans, coordinate internal experts and external contractors, and maintain the complete project dossier so each delivery meets time, quality, budget and legal requirements. You will act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and the contracting authority, ensure permits and safety specifications are produced and kept current, and embed change management so that new installations and procedures are accepted and sustained by the organisation.
Your responsibilities

- Produce and maintain project plans, technical analyses and the complete project dossier including as-built documentation and permitting files.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors and suppliers, enforce contractual obligations and quality standards, and manage claims or corrective actions.
- Ensure regulatory interfaces are managed, including regular engagement with the nuclear regulatory authority and preparation of required safety documentation.
- Drive stakeholder communication and change management, reporting progress to steering committees and ensuring end-user acceptance of new systems and procedures.
- Implement and maintain procedures and training so that operational teams follow the documented processes and safety specifications.
