Legacy SAP portals and a Hastus timetable backbone still coordinate driver planning and payroll, creating a single point of failure that Program Horizon must remove. As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will apply deep application integration expertise and SAP S/4 HANA delivery experience to run migration streams that keep HR and operations live while the legacy stack is retired.
The Mission
You join the Business Solutions department, reporting to the Manager Build & Transform, to contribute to Program Horizon: a multi-stream programme to modernise and replace a legacy application ecosystem built on an SAP Portal (BSP/JSP), Hastus and a set of historical interfaces. The work secures critical capabilities such as operational planning, the driver digital workplace, time and payroll and the end-to-end integration between HR and Operations.
Within the Build & Transform team you will lead one or more high-impact transformation streams. You will own functional and non-functional scope, budget and capacity planning, and align delivery with architecture, infrastructure, security, AMS and external suppliers. Your governance artefacts and executive reporting will drive decisions that determine how quickly end-of-life solutions can be retired while preserving daily operations.
Your Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of assigned Program Horizon streams, delivering scope, on-budget execution and capacity plans that protect HR and operations processes.
- Drive application integration and migration to SAP S/4 HANA and Hastus replacement, reducing interface risk and controlling cutover impact.
- Coordinate cross-functional governance, dependency management and supplier relationships, preparing gate reviews, change requests and concise executive reports.
- Ensure test management, UAT and RUN readiness, working with Service Delivery Managers and ServiceNow processes to hand over stable services.
- Manage risks, prioritisation and stakeholder escalation, facilitating timely trade-offs to protect operational continuity.
- Mobilise and coach multi-disciplinary project teams and external partners to maintain delivery momentum.
Your Profile
Essential Skills
- Proven track record in application integration, API and interface orchestration for large migrations.
- Practical delivery experience with SAP S/4 HANA migrations and Hastus replacement programmes.
- Strong program and project management discipline, with clear budget management and governance experience.
- Supplier relationship management and contract oversight across multiple vendors.
- Dependency management across Business, Transport Solutions, Architecture, Infrastructure, Security and AMS teams.
- Clear communicator, able to prepare executive reporting, gate materials and change requests for steering committees.
- Solid test management experience, UAT coordination and RUN readiness planning.
- Change management capability to secure adoption during legacy replacement.
- Risk management skills, surfacing issues with pragmatic mitigation proposals.
- People management and stakeholder engagement skills to mobilise internal teams and external suppliers.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills to translate business requirements into deliverable scope and architecture.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow for incident, change and request tracking.
