The organisation is a Belgian public agency responsible for unemployment benefit payments, currently running a multi-project effort to digitalise and automate its backend services. This role exists to structure and coordinate the Automation release train, applying Agile delivery practices and backend integration knowledge to make services more modular, secure and interoperable.
The mission
The Automation release train owns end-to-end delivery for initiatives that increase efficiency, interoperability, security and automation of core business systems supporting benefit payments. The technical landscape includes backend APIs, integration layers and security controls, and the work is sequenced across several concurrent projects that must align with the organisation's strategic Flight Plan and governance standards.
On a daily basis you will manage and prioritise work across a multidisciplinary train composed of process managers, business analysts and developers, and coordinate with PMO, the enterprise architect, the DPO and the CISO. You will prepare and lead the automation steering group, maintain roadmap coherence across dependencies and produce progress deliverables. Applicants must attach a short mission approach (max 1000 words), a CV (3–4 pages) and references as part of their application.

- Coach and develop team members to increase autonomy and transfer knowledge to business and technical stakeholders
- Resolve orchestration issues between team members and other trains to keep delivery on schedule
- Represent the train in programme increments and executive alignment sessions, ensuring strategic alignment with the Flight Plan
