The organisation is a large financial institution with a central data incubator squad responsible for building interoperable data products across business lines. This role exists to coordinate the Data Governance stream, applying Data Mesh principles and data governance best practices to define, document and roll out data product standards and guidelines.
The mission
The Data Governance Specialist will work inside the data incubator squad and the data governance experts chapter to translate enterprise-level governance requirements into practical policies for data products. On a day-to-day basis you will coordinate the rollout of data product frameworks and guidelines across multiple tribes and IT domains. You will maintain the governance artefacts, manage stakeholder alignment with senior management and the CDO, and act as an escalation point for data quality, protection, interoperability and compliance issues. Typical deliveries include policy documents, data product specifications, onboarding checklists and training materials.
