The organisation is a Brussels-based activity in the digital and IT sector that runs an internal HR function serving operational teams and projects. The Expert RH role exists to deliver day-to-day HR operations and to lead HR project work focused on training and skills development and HR project management, ensuring legal compliance and a consistent employee experience.
The mission
The HR department operates in a changing digital environment where processes such as training follow-up with external providers and salary transparency are being standardised. This work affects managers and staff across multiple teams, and the role supports those changes by keeping operational HR processes efficient and compliant. The position reports into the HR head and works alongside a small HR team, including one HR assistant.
On a typical day you will lead operational HR activities and run end-to-end projects that improve employee experience and service delivery. You will coordinate external suppliers for learning workflows, drive project timelines and KPIs for initiatives like salary transparency, supervise an HR assistant, support recruitment campaigns when required, and represent HR in social consultation bodies such as CE, CPPT and DS.
Your responsibilities
- Lead HR projects from definition to delivery, delivering measurable improvements in training uptake, process cycle time or transparency metrics
- Ensure the reliability and legal compliance of HR operations, maintaining accurate records and audit-ready processes
- Oversee day-to-day HR service delivery, improving manager and employee satisfaction through clear SLAs and responsive support
- Supervise and coach an HR assistant, transferring operational knowledge and building capability in the team
- Participate in social consultation meetings and provide HR input on collective and employee relations topics
- Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities, ensuring role descriptions, selection processes and induction plans meet business needs
Your profile
Essential skills
- Senior-level HR experience, demonstrated in generalist HR roles and HR operations, ideally 5+ years
- Proven capability in training and skills development, including working with external learning providers and tracking learning outcomes
- Strong track record in HR project management, delivering initiatives on time with clear KPIs
- Hands-on experience in recruitment and talent acquisition, from sourcing to onboarding
- Practical management and leadership experience, able to supervise and develop junior HR colleagues
- Service-oriented mindset with focus on employee experience and stakeholder communication
Preferred skills
- Knowledge of social relations and the legal framework for ASBLs, or experience supporting non-profit organisations
