A public-sector health IT programme delivers a care-team management application and a regional immunisation ordering and registration system. The team needs a senior functional analyst with FHIR and Agile Scrum experience to convert clinical and operational needs into clear functional requirements, author user stories in Jira/Confluence, and run User Acceptance Testing to validate deliveries.
The mission
The programme covers two connected initiatives: a care-team management application used by clinicians and care coordinators, and a regional immunisation ordering and registration system that handles vaccine ordering and patient immunisation records. Both systems must interoperate with national eHealth interfaces using FHIR and support integrations with external providers, so functional choices must preserve overall consistency and traceability across projects. The initial engagement is approximately six months, with an expectation of continuity and knowledge transfer to follow-on teams.
Day to day you will produce the functional analysis that drives technical design and development, write use cases and user stories in Jira/Confluence, act as SPOC for integrators, and coordinate dependencies with other teams. You will follow development iterations under Agile Scrum, execute functional and user acceptance testing, and unblock issues by clarifying requirements and prioritising fixes with product owners and developers. The role requires hands-on participation in workshops with clinicians and integrators and maintaining the continuity of analysis across releases.
Your responsibilities
- Deliver clear functional requirements and user stories that enable timely development and reduce rework during implementation
- Lead user acceptance testing and validate releases against clinical workflows and regulatory expectations
- Coordinate with integrators and external teams as the single point of contact to resolve cross-system dependencies
- Translate clinical needs into FHIR-based data models and integration specifications to ensure interoperability
- Support developers with functional clarifications during sprints and remove blockers affecting delivery
- Maintain and evolve documentation in Jira and Confluence so knowledge is available for future iterations
