The role sits inside an automotive training academy that builds and delivers technical programmes for a national dealer network and internal service teams. This Technical Trainer role exists to turn manufacturer technical content into practical classroom, workshop and digital learning, with a focus on diagnostics and electric vehicle technologies. You will work closely with training managers and technical experts to keep content aligned with OEM standards and evolving diagnostic systems.
The mission
The academy maintains a portfolio of technical modules covering diagnostics, repair procedures, electrification and digital workshop tools, used by technicians across the dealer network. Maintaining conformity with manufacturer requirements and audit standards is central, while integrating new technologies such as electric vehicles and connected vehicle tools into the curriculum.
On a day-to-day basis you will prepare and deliver training sessions in classroom and workshop settings, and adapt modules for blended learning and digital formats. You will translate manufacturer training material into clear, hands-on lessons, set up training environments (vehicles, tools, diagnostic systems) and support certification or audit activities. You will typically work with training managers and a small pool of technical specialists to keep courses current.
